It is late August; it is hot outside. What are you going to do? Here’s an idea, go see a movie. This week’s offerings, like many of those in the days leading up to the autumnal equinox are not of the blockbuster, megaplex filling, stand in line variety, but they pass for a couple hours of needed entertainment in a cooler than outside environment (Northern Hemisphere).
The November Man has a former Bond (Pierce Brosnan) and a former Bond Girl (Olga Kurleynko) playing the spy game in kind of a Bond-lite thriller. Older males seem to be more interested than others.
As Above, So Below is the traditional (when did that become a tradition anyway) Labor Day weekend horror film that has a bunch of not so well known actors running around below Paris getting the bejesus scared out of them. Maybe you will react similarly? A fairly even pattern across most demographic groups is evident with a slight nod for no reason we can think of to the 45—54 year old age segments.
Soda, popcorn, movie, girlfriend or boyfriend. Better way to spend some time this weekend? We don’t think so.
